Lancaster University, our partners in the South Lakes Dementia Hub, would like to invite Carers to their Defying Dementia Day on Saturday 16 September at the George Fox Building, Lancaster University.

This is a free meeting, aimed at the general public (not just professionals), and is a unique opportunity to bring together everyone in the North West with an interest in dementia – staff and volunteers of dementia associations, people living with dementia, family member, clinicians, care professionals and scientists – to share and learn from one another.

The Day will open at 10am, followed by a wide variety of talks held in two parallel sessions and concluding in a panel discussion chaired by BBC Radio Lancashire’s John Gillmore. There will be a marketplace in the foyer, providing a wealth of dementia related information, and there are activities for people with dementia.

You can find out more and book tickets from the Lancaster University website.
